Introduction to Agility

Agility - Obstacle Confidence

Class starts Tue, August 26, 2008 at 6:30 PM - 6 weeks
A continuation from Introduction to Agility - our goal is that the dogs become comfortable and confident with all equipment. Includes beginning sequence work. (click here for more info)

Agility Open Runs

Class starts Sun, August 24, 2008 at 6:30 PM - 3 weeks
Courses are set up and run. This class is loosely monitored/taught. Advanced courses are set up in addition to side sequences. We also play games such as Snooker and Gamblers. You may choose to run with the monitored "class" or use our second field of equipment to play independently with your dog. All classes are held outdoors. (click here for more info)

Competition Agility

Class starts Wed, August 20, 2008 at 9:00 AM - 17 weeks
For dogs with at least two legs in AKC Novice or equivalent, or with instructor approval. Sequences from open level and above are worked on. Course strategies are discussed. (click here for more info)

Family Dog

Class starts Mon, August 11, 2008 at 6:00 PM - 7 weeks
A seven-week course aimed at training your dog the fundamentals of obedience, to help him or her become a pleasant member of your family. We use our positive approach to help you teach your dog the basic behaviors: sit and down, stay, come, and walk calmly on leash. We also address common behavioral issues such as jumping on people. CGC/Therapy Dog Prep

All-Around Dog

Class starts Thu, July 17, 2008 at 7:30 PM - 6 weeks
Prerequisites: Completion of a basic good manners class. Dog must walk nicely on leash & get along well with other dogs. Dog must have a solid sit & down on cue. What we'll work on will include some or all of the following: Rally, loose lead walking/heel work, Really Reliable Recall, off lead work, Meets & Greets with a twist, solid stays, desensitization skills (counterconditioning, "Look at That" game), distractions, distractions!... It will depend on the dogs, depend on the handlers - what you want and what your dog is ready for, and what we can fit into six weeks. Puppy Kindergarten

Team Run Agility - Handling for Advanced Competition
